CLASS CONTENT

HABLA’s courses are designed with a function-based syllabus. This means that students will actually learn to do things in Spanish (or other languages). They will learn how to interact in different contexts, at work and away from work. A huge focus is placed on speaking, and students will spend the majority of each class speaking to each other and to the instructor. Each course also covers elements of vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and listening.

HABLA offers courses at all levels: Beginners (1 and 2), Intermediate (1 and 2), and Advanced. Each course lasts 15 to 20 hours, with each level building on the next. Thanks to modern, interactive, efficient teaching methods, students are able to learn more quickly than in most other language-acquisition settings.

  • After a 15-hour Beginners-1 course, students are surprised by how much they’ve learned, and find they can interact with Spanish speakers.

  • At the Beginners-2 level, students strengthen and expand on these foundations, preparing them for the variety of verb tenses, vocabulary, and expressions to be practiced at the Intermediate-1 level.

  • By the Intermediate-2 and Advanced levels, students have a rich vocabulary and good command of grammar. They feel at ease conversing in Spanish about a large variety of topics, including work-related issues.
