ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS

A native of Puerto Rico, HABLA owner and chief instructor Diana María Gruber is fluent in five languages (Spanish, English, French, Italian and Portuguese), having lived in France, Italy, Brazil, and the United States.

For over a decade, Diana has been teaching all of these languages, in different settings. She holds a Bachelors degree in Foreign Languages from the University of Texas at Austin, as well as multiple industry-recognized certifications.

She is entrepreneurial, responsible, talented and passionate about her business, and about serving her students by teaching them foreign language.

Diana is also the author of a full five-level series of Spanish (and other-language) textbooks and materials. The textbooks consistently receive positive reviews from students, and are an important part of HABLA’s courses.

All of HABLA’s associate instructors are natively fluent in the language they teach, and have been expertly trained in a state-of-the-art, student-focused practical approach to language instruction.

Gaston Solís, from Panama, really enjoys his job, and students say that it shows. He has put enormous passion into his work in the foreign-language sector for over twenty years, as a teacher, interpreter, and translator. He holds several degrees, including a Masters degree, and a Bachelors Degree in French, though his native language is Spanish. Gaston also speaks French, Portuguese and Italian fluently, and has a working knowledge of German.

He has taught foreign language – especially Spanish -- at all levels, including university. He has extensive knowledge of industry-specific language, having worked in the legal, medical, and oil-and-gas sectors as an instructor and translator.

Gaston also puts his characteristic enthusiasm into sharing his culture with others, and is the director and founder of “Folklore de Panama” Dance and Cultural Group in Houston.
