About HABLA Houston Spanish School’s Instructors

All of HABLA’s instructors are natively fluent in the language they teach, and have been expertly trained in a state-of-the-art, student-focused, practical approach to language instruction.

Diana – a great teacher to help you learn Spanish at HABLA Spanish Classes HoustonA native of Puerto Rico, HABLA owner and chief instructor Diana María Gruber is fluent in six languages (Spanish, English, French, Italian, Portuguese and German), having lived in France, Italy, Brazil, Germany and the United States.

For over a decade, Diana has helped thousands of students learn Spanish, English and many other languages. She holds a Bachelors degree in Foreign Languages from the University of Texas at Austin, as well as multiple industry-recognized certifications.

She is entrepreneurial, responsible, talented and passionate about her business, and about serving her students by teaching them foreign language. She loves foreign languages in general, but developed HABLA as a Spanish school, once she noticed the compelling need for Spanish classes in Houston, and for developing the sector of SSL (Spanish as a Second Language) nationwide.

Diana is also the author of a full five-level series of Spanish (and other-language) textbooks and materials. The textbooks consistently receive positive reviews from students, and are an important part of HABLA’s courses.

Gaston – a great teacher to help you learn Spanish at HABLA Spanish Classes Houston

Gaston Solís-Règis, from Panama, really enjoys his job, and students say that it shows. He has put enormous passion into his work in the foreign-language sector for over twenty years, as a teacher, interpreter, and translator. He holds several degrees, including two Bachelors (one of them in French, though his native language is Spanish), and a Masters degree, all from the University of Houston, as well as a certification for Spanish from the University of Salamanca in Spain. Gaston also speaks French and Portuguese fluently, and has a working knowledge of Italian and German.

He has taught foreign languages – especially Spanish and French -- at all levels, including college. He has extensive knowledge of industry-specific language, having worked in the legal, medical, and oil-and-gas sectors as an instructor and translator. We are proud to have Gaston working with us as one of our Senior Instructors, leading many of our Houston Spanish classes.

Gaston also puts his characteristic enthusiasm into sharing his culture with others, and is the director and founder of “Folklore de Panama” Dance and Cultural Group in Houston.
